Welcome, Friends!

Welcome to The Fruit Tree Blog!

Pull up a chair and join sisters in Christ at the table. We are family, seeking to become friends. With open Bibles let's pursue the Lord, growing and glorifying Him together.

Why "The Fruit Tree"? This is the tree mentioned in Psalm chapter 1, verse 3:

She is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that she does, she prospers.

This fruit tree is strong and stable, productive and thriving. What is the source of all these beautiful characteristics? According to the previous verses, this follower of God steers clear of every form of evil. Not only that, but she continually treasures and meditates on the Word of God. (Psalm 1:1-2)

I want to be like that tree! With God's help, I am committing myself to grow in these godly ways this year. I do not know what 2025 will hold. But with every day God gives me, I long to deeper in my walk with Him.

That's where it starts, my friends. In our own hearts. It does not, however, stop there. The Lord makes it clear, especially in all the "one another" commands of the New Testament, that He intends for us to help one another on this journey to heaven. That indeed is my goal with this blog.

So if you mean business with God, if your heart is hungry for close fellowship with Him, if you desire to truly please Him with your life I invite you to link arms with me and grow. Leaning on our faithful and loving Redeemer, let's do this!

For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. (Psalm 36:9)

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen. (Romans 11:36)
